When we found one another, we bonded over the importance of Play, and its impact on human connection. Our view on the growing lack of empathy worldwide, and our belief that it was related to a lack of Play, made us ask, “Why have we stopped playing?” We quickly discovered our skills complemented one another, and created Play-Rx to bring Play back into the picture. This inspired us to cultivate a practice that would effectively intersect organizational change and Play-based learning.

As augmented intelligence becomes more pervasive, and technical skills increasingly commoditized, the focus on what it means to be human is ever more important. An organization will thrive in its pursuit of emotional and social intelligence.

Bobby Alexis, CEO & CO-FOUNDER

Bobby is a proven entrepreneur in the Emerging Technology space. In 2016, he founded a Virtual Reality technology company and successfully exited the business via acquisition in 2017. Throughout his career, Bobby has served as a thought leader, creative strategist, advisor, and action taker for startups and corporations looking to invest in their future. He has a history of leading business development and corporate innovation for The Walt Disney Company, Travelzoo, GQR, Digital Domain, and has advised a plethora of B2B & B2C companies on their business development, strategic innovation, and consumer growth efforts. His team embodies the understanding that raising emotional intelligence is the key to unlock human connection, collaboration, creativity, innovation, and healthier culture within organizations.

The Schusterman Organization in Israel has recognized Bobby as one of the leaders in the areas of augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, robotics, computer vision, blockchain and immersive media creation who appreciate the value of collaboration, camaraderie and imagination; joining a shortlist of venture capitalists, creatives, and entrepreneurs.

Roger Manix, Chief Learning Officer & CO-FOUNDER

Roger is an international leader at the forefront of designing transformational experiences rooted in Play-based learning. His strengths lie in developing stronger collaborative skills, inspiring innovative thinking, and training more efficient workers and leaders.

At The Graduate School of Business at Stanford University, for six years Roger worked with MBA candidates to illustrate how their habitual patterns were limiting their capacity to problem-solve and communicate.  After facilitating workshops at Parsons The New School for Design, Roger was invited by the Program Chair to develop a course in The School of Design Strategies for Cities, Services, and Ecosystems. The goal of the course was to use Play-based learning to stimulate design thinking across disciplines while fostering empathy, collaboration and innovation. Roger also taught in the MFA in Transdisciplinary Design Program at The New School, where he led The Performance Gym in The Transforming Mindsets Studio Class, dedicated to enhancing social and emotional skills. His current class in The Global Executive Master of Science in Strategic Design and Management at The New School uses Play to spark curiosity and develop emotional intelligence within creative teams.

Roger heads up Play-Rx’s initiatives across organizational development, and works with our team of facilitators to run both short term and longterm programs with Universities, Corporations, and Non-profits to establish Play as a habit within organizations.

Caroline Triay, Head of Operation & Product Development

Caroline is a strategic adviser who transforms consumer & marketplace understanding into successful innovation & growth. She has guided Fortune 500 companies in leveraging consumer insights to influence strategic engagement, product innovation, & marketplace positioning. In addition to building her strong client partnerships (with brands like Coca-Cola, Chipotle, Kraft Heinz, State Farm, & Viacom), her agency experience at Kantar Consulting, Datassential, & Suzy extended to optimizing internal processes & product offerings.

Caroline is an advocate that every consumer, client, & employee’s voice deserves to be heard as it not only brings forth the best products, processes & work environments, but it also brings back humanity into our workplace.
